#Blogtour Twelfth Sun by MAE CLAIR

newtwelfthsuntour

SYNOPSIS

The hunky young PhD knows all about seduction, but what does he know about love?

Reagan Cassidy is settled in her life. She has a thriving interior design firm, an upscale condo, two cats, and a goldfish. As a favor to her uncle, she agrees to team up with his marine archeologist friend to validate and retrieve a nineteenth-century journal, reputedly that of a passenger aboard the doomed schooner Twelfth Sun. Finding a hunky twenty-five-year-old coming out of the shower in her hotel room wasn’t part of the deal, but it’s hard to complain…

Dr. Elijah Cross is cocky and he knows it. He enjoys trading barbs with the lovely Reagan. Barbs, and some innuendo. He can tell she’d rather get back home to her business than stick around for the extended treasure hunt they’ve been talked into, but he’s fine with the situation. At least, until the “clues” start getting personal.

Reagan finds Dr. Gorgeous is as skilled in matters of the heart as he is behind the lectern. Throw in a series of clues which mean more to Elijah than he’ll explain, several odd-ball competitors out to win the journal, a saboteur, and a lavish seaside mansion, and Reagan has enough trouble keeping her head straight, let alone her heart.

WARNING: Younger man, older woman, nautical riddles and romance.

EXCERPT

“My dad’s father was part gypsy. Besides, the sea is in my blood.” Elijah turned onto his side, locking his good leg over hers, holding her in place. Pushing up on one elbow, he stared down at her, abruptly serious. “Did you know a good marine archaeologist could spend his entire life studying a single wreck and never be bored? Never feel the need to move onto something else?” He stroked her cheek, brushing her hair aside. “That’s what I want to do with you, Reagan. I want to spend my days and nights learning about you. Everything about you. What you think. The way you smell…” He leaned forward, inhaling the light scent of the honeysuckle oil she’d used in her bath.

Ping! Warning claxons flared in her head. Elijah, playful and teasing she could control. Elijah, serious and romantic meant trouble.

“The way you feel.” His fingers tracked down her arm and hooked into the flimsy belt holding her robe shut. “The way you taste.” His mouth closed over hers at precisely the moment he tugged open her robe.

#GuestPost by #Author of Saved by One, Shared by Two – Sylvia Ryan #Romance

Here we are again, right before the new year. It’s a time for reflection and renewed resolutions for many.  So I thought I’d give you my take on the whole New Year’s resolution thing, starting with my most common resolutions through the years and why I don’t even bother anymore.

Lose that last 10 (or 20) pounds.—Ahh, is there a woman alive who hasn’t  resolved to shed the baby weight or get in shape? I give up on this resolution and now laugh openly at the maniacs getting up at 6:00am on January 2 to sweat and strain before they go to work. Statistics say only 1% of those who start exercising for the new year are successful long term. Knowing this, I encourage you to stay in bed, warm and cozy. It’s a much better way to start the day. And, the good news is that the rest of America is getting fat with me, so no big deal….right?

Save money-Another resolution I had annually until just a few years ago. You see, I accomplish this resolution all the time, but there’s a catch. As soon as I puff my chest out with pride at that nest egg I’ve been nurturing, a fantastically priced vacation, or another equally tempting money gobbler bats it’s lovely lashes at me and then…well… on second thought, I haven’t accomplished this resolution at all.

Get organized—I do this. It’s called cleaning up after my family, and I officially declare it’s their fault my junk drawer has propagated and spawned a smaller, second junk drawer. Realizing it’s an uphill battle is first priority and the first step in The Clutter 12-step Program. Then, if you’re lucky, you may stumble upon the solution like I did. The brilliance and simplicity of it is stunning (If I do say so myself). And now, I’m going to share it.

Step 1: I wait for my moody 13-year-old child to do something she deserves consequences for.

Step 2: I then introduce her to the area that needs organization. This part could be tricky so don’t make any sudden moves or change your tone of voice too much. Just take the culprit by the hand and calmly say  “(fill in child’s name here), meet the linen closet.  Make it so we can close the door again.”Now, here’s the tricky part–  Make sure you hold your grin until you begin to walk away or else moody 13 year old child gets moodier…if that’s possible, and the whole plan backfires.

I hope these short tips will get the new year going in the right direction for you. And hopefully they’ll free up some time so you can do some reading.:)

Thank you to Xunaira for hosting me on her blog.

And Happy New Year

excerpt2My feet pressed to the floor as the elevator lifted against gravity. Tristan turned, facing me. His sultry stare bore through my body, and I felt my back press against the mirrored wall.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this. He wasn’t supposed to hold power over me; no man ever had. I was a cop. A strong cop who wasn’t swayed by crying mothers, cute puppies, or gorgeous hunks speeding in their Ferraris, offering everything they owned and more. But I was also a woman – and to Tristan, my body responded of its own accord. I felt my breasts swell and I wished I’d worn a dress with a larger top: one that could hold the twins in better. Tristan didn’t seem to mind.

“So, what will two thousand dollars buy me, sweetheart?”

Even if we were playing, I had a feeling this was going to be one hell of an interview—one of the best ones I’d ever had.

“Whatever you want.” I wondered how far he’d go, and how far I’d allow him to go. I already knew what he wanted. My instincts were solid, especially the hormonal ones. My body had secretly ached for his touch since he’d walked into the auditorium. And that one deep kiss we’d shared in his car was like a teasing spoonful of chocolate cake. I craved chocolate cake; and not just a bite.

And before I could say another word, Tristan crushed his mouth to mine, possessing it like he owned me, spreading my lips apart with his needy tongue. The hint of scotch still lingered in his mouth. And at this moment, he did own me. Every. Single. Piece of me.

His grip on my wrists above my head would have normally enraged me. But tonight I wasn’t a cop, and his strong and demanding fingers wrapped around my hands like cuffs, burning me with a long-forgotten yearning.

The force of his lips devoured mine, his tongue exploring my mouth. The few moans that escaped me, Tristan swallowed. I had no room to breathe and found hardly enough strength to stand on my legs.

He let go of my mouth and trailed his lips along my jaw to my cheek and ear before lowering down my neck, pinning me against the wall. Oh, God, he felt so good against my body. Everything inside me twisted and tightened and released in unbearable pulses between my thighs. I breathed him in, the oak smell of his scotch imprinted in his skin and in his hair.

The elevator halted and Tristan jolted up as if he’d just realized what he’d done. He searched my eyes with his as if asking permission to go on. And for the first time tonight, doubt crept in. He leaned his forehead against mine.

“We can’t do this. I’m your employee,” I whispered into his mouth. But inside, I laughed at my own unconvincing words, feeling the heat between my legs penetrate my dampened panties.

The open elevator door chimed the second time.

“Your body says we can.” He cupped my engorged breasts, one in each hand, squeezing them in slow motion, feeling their full weight.

I held my breath, pushing my chest into his palms, filling them.

He looked straight into my eyes. “And you’re not hired until the morning.”

This time, his mouth took my lips slowly. The forceful tongue softened, teasing my gums, and I couldn’t get enough of his taste as he guided me into his apartment. We never broke our kiss and I couldn’t remember when my arms wrapped around his neck and fingers weaved through his silky hair. Tristan’s hands slid down my body and under my skirt, scrunching it up to my waist, and I felt him smile against my mouth.

“You’re prepared.” His palm covered the hand gun in a holster strapped to my thigh.

“You never know what weirdo you’ll run into on the street.”

He laughed, pulling the buckle open. Tristan set my piece aside on the table.

“What else are you hiding there?” He drew his finger along my brow, looking deep into my eyes. And for a moment I thought he could see everything, including my soul.

“Things I can never forget.” Did I just say that?

“I want to help you forget, for tonight at least.” The comfort and understanding in his eyes struck me deep inside. But behind those deep amber-like gems there was also pain. I wasn’t the only one hurting. Whatever had happened to Tristan must have been bad. Perhaps he was scarred as deep as I was? Had he ever allowed anyone to see what was hidden, layers deep inside his heart? I wondered what secrets he held and whether he’d share them.

“I’m going to fuck you now.” His voice thickened with lust as his fingers gripped the lace panties on my ass. The way he’d said this so nonchalantly comforted me. Like it was something we both needed and wanted.

A fuck to forget.

“If that’s what two thousand dollars buys, fuck away.” When I looked into his eyes, Tristan understood completely.

Tightening his grip, he lifted me up and seized my mouth. I wrapped my legs around his waist, my arms holding onto his upper body. Tristan carried me across his apartment, but I couldn’t remember a single detail about the place, except the faint smell of scotch, manly musk, and Tristan.

I loved smelling him.

His lips felt so good and natural against my mouth, just as it had when he’d kissed me that first time in the car. I’d dreamed about that luscious kiss every night. But this was much better than a dream, because his lips were warm and real. His bulging arms and flexing muscles as he carried me so effortlessly pulsed under my body. I wasn’t sure when he’d laid me down on the bed, or removed my skirt, panties, or even the top, because the next time he pulled away from my mouth and I looked up, I was naked, in a faintly lit bedroom, propped on my elbows, watching Tristan remove his jeans and shirt.

Excerpt from IGNITED by Kaylea Cross:

“Almost there,” he said over his shoulder, pulling her along in his wake.

The sudden loud blare of horns made them both snap their heads to their right.

A white delivery-style truck was barreling up the first available unclogged street, right toward the tall buildings on the opposite side of the intersection a half block away. Hunter stopped walking so fast that Khalia bumped into his back. Before she could retreat a step she felt the unnatural stillness in him, a silent tension that made her jerk her head around to stare at the truck.

It was moving too fast and showed no sign of slowing down. Everyone else was staring now too. The street dead ended at the tall rows of buildings lining it, and there was no way the truck could turn the corner given its speed. Horns were still blaring as the vehicle whizzed past other traffic at breakneck speed. She watched in astonishment as it blew through the stop light and hurtled straight toward the building across the dead end intersection.

Hunter whirled and grabbed her shoulders, pushing her toward the ground. “Get down!” he yelled.

What? Too stunned to protest, Khalia sprawled flat on the pavement. The breath whooshed out of her as Hunter’s hard weight landed on her back, squashing her against the burning hot sidewalk. Someone near her screamed. A split second later she heard the loud bang of an impact, then the still air was ripped apart by a violent explosion. The force of it tore over her like a raging wind, whipped through her body like a shockwave. Her eardrums and lungs felt like they’d exploded from the pressure. For a split second the sidewalk rolled and bucked beneath them as if they were on a boat.

It took a moment for the truth to sink in. A bomb.

Her heart hammered against her ribs. Hunter was still on top of her, his arms crossed over her head and face to shield her. She didn’t dare move. People were screaming, running past them, even over them. Hunter grunted when someone stepped on him, but he didn’t budge from his position atop her. She could hear the sound of glass shattering close by, hitting the ground somewhere behind them with a sharp crash. The smell of smoke and burning wreckage was already thick in the air, as well as an audible roar that pulsed against her throbbing eardrums.

When the mass of panicking people around them began to thin out, Hunter’s weight finally lifted from her. She sucked in a shaky breath, her compressed lungs aching with the effort, and dared to lift her head. Only to witness a scene straight out of hell.

Series: Wedding Wrecks #1

Genre: Erotic Romance

Blurb:

One night of passion could set her free…but will she ever see him again?

It’s five days before my wedding to Nathan Bonaventure. He’s rich. He’s handsome. He’s also cold and calculating, and he wants a trophy, not a wife. Thanks to my Aunt Cecily, I don’t even get a say in it.

My friends think having my bachelorette party at a strip club is a great idea, but all I can think about is how miserable I’m going to be for the rest of my life. Until he shows up. Phoenix, the star of the show, is a blue-eyed god with a body to die for.

He’s supposed to be entertaining the crowd. So why won’t he take those stunning eyes off me…and what’s going to happen in the champagne room?

About the Wedding Wrecks series: Sizzling, erotic novellas that feature women on the verge of marrying Mr. Wrong–saved from making the worst mistake of their lives through a steamy encounter with Mr. Oh-So-Right.

Excerpt

They started to dance.

My mouth must’ve fallen open. If I screamed, I couldn’t hear myself over the pounding music and the shouts of the spectators as the men on stage shook and flowed, unbuttoning their jackets without breaking stride. Drawing closer. I couldn’t take my eyes off them—they were hypnotically sensual, and the fact that they were obviously enjoying themselves only added to it.

The jackets came off, all at the same time. Tight tanktops stretched over glistening, rippling muscle. I think I was drooling. I barely registered Kari beside me, nudging and shouting, “Stand up, girl! The view’s better up here!”

I was on my feet without thinking, just as three camouflage caps went sailing in the air. The lead man’s gaze drew me instantly—eyes a stunning blue, close-cropped dark hair, the face of a wicked angel. I couldn’t stop looking at him.

And I had the weirdest feeling he was staring right back at me.

They reached the end of the runway. No shirts now, just pants and combat boots. One started bumping and grinding around the pole, another crouched near the crowd to the right, his arm outstretched. From the dim soup of the crowd, someone was handing him a folded chair. And Phoenix, the blue-eyed walking orgasm, stopped in front of me.

He grinned and held a hand out. My heart jumped into my throat when I realized his intentions and I shook my head furiously, trying to shove myself back into the masses.

But my friends wouldn’t let me escape.

Review:

An entertaining read and a good past time, the author has weaved a story of old friendship and complications in the life of women who was weak and did not have the strength to fight for her cause. The story starts with the Elizabeth and her friends visiting men’s strip club for her bachelorette party where she becomes the object of attention of one male who has the eyes for only her. When the strip party starts, she is pulled on stage by the lead stripper who sexually arouses her with his dance steps. Side by side, her problems in her mind make her grim and sober for she is being forced to marry Nathaniel Bonaventure, who according to her was not the man of her dreams.

As the story progresses, the friends go over their old memories of high school where Liz remembers her best friend, David Taylor. The story moves forward at a neutral pace when they are being introduced to the strippers from the stage earlier and the lead one, Phoenix, takes Liz to the Champagne Room.

The story is entertaining though but a lot more could be done to make it better, for example explaining Elizabeth’s situation with Nathaniel, the author could have been more elaborative about her relationship with her aunt, Cecily. The prose and narrative is really good and I wish the author success for her book.

Excerpts:

The Chocolate Affair by Imogene Nix

His first view of Deanna McCalchy had taken in the glorious lush curves and midnight hair as she shook it free of the ugly confining hat she wore. Her blue dress molded to her body while the heat of instant arousal suffused him.

Now here stood a true goddess. The thought took him by surprise. He hadn’t thought in those terms for over a hundred years.

His small exclamation of interest had taken her by surprise and she had slipped. He moved with his preternatural speed extending his hands and catching her before she hit the floor.

As one of the two owners of Rustafan, he kept a low profile. He didn’t want his father’s minions to know where he and his sister, Entara, were. They had taken on Christabel as their media spokesperson well before she’d become Entara’s lover. This afforded them a gratefully accepted anonymity.

It was a habit to hide his personal life from others. Right now, he embraced the freedom that afforded him to scan the woman in his arms, feel the weight of her body.

She watched him silently while he righted her.

“Hello, what have I found here? A pleasure princess from Piero?” Knowing that the business mainly transacted with the pleasure planets, the words slipped out. He cringed as soon as he heard them. But she didn’t take offense at his words—at least not vocally, though a red tide crept over her cheeks.

“I don’t know who you are. But this is a restricted zone.” Her soft words of censure made him smile even as she gazed into his eyes. She was off balance, all the better for him to find out how the factory worked and maybe about her too. He shook himself mentally. That wasn’t why he was here.

“That’s okay, I’m supposed to be here.”

“And why are you supposed to be here?” Her words betrayed her interest, but he detected no knowledge of him in her mind and let the tension release from his muscles.

“I’ve been sent here to assess Scheherazade.” He held out one of his hands, and as she clasped it he felt a jolt of recognition, leaving him breathless for just a second. “I’m JD Ruan.”

“Oh heavens.” Her face pinked slightly again and he grinned, though he worked to contain his amusement at her old-fashioned comment.

Flavor Of The Month by Bianca Sarble

What was it about this man that made her laugh? She wanted to stay mad, but it seemed impossible whenever he was around. It didn’t hurt that he looked like a GQ cover model or that his voice sent shivers down her spine, but the kicker was the warmth in his smile.

“Okay, come in. I’ll grab some coffee.”

While she worked on the coffee, Patrick put the flowers on the counter before perusing the sample tray. “So, what are we tasting tonight?”

Cate froze. Cake. He’s talking about cake, not body parts. “Carolyn said she wanted something different, so we have the cherry mud cake, Tia Maria mud cake, Cookies & Cream, chocolate mud cake and last but not least, butterscotch with its own caramel icing.”

“I’m guessing that’s your favorite right?”

“My favorite is all of them. It’s too hard to choose just one.”

As she approached the table with the coffee, he surprised her again by coming around and pulling her chair out for her. His body heat radiated against her back and she had to stop herself leaning into his muscular chest. She gave herself a mental slap to pull her professional mask back in place as she sat. She broke off a piece of her first selection with a fork and offered the handle to him.

“This is the cherry mud cake. I have a recipe for a cream cheese icing that sets it off perfectly.”

Keeping his gaze on hers, he folded his fingers around her hand and guided the fork to his mouth. He hummed and licked his lips as the flavor exploded in his mouth, drawing her attention to his very lickable lips. Maybe she should have served ice water instead of coffee because she certainly didn’t need to heat things up.

My Lord’s Table  by Alysha Ellis

Susan turned her head.  His dark eyes focused entirely on her. The debauchery happening a few feet away didn’t distract him for a second. “I’ve led a very sheltered life, Lord Winslade. Perhaps if I knew more of the world and its risks, I wouldn’t have found myself in a position where I am dependent on your good nature for my safety.”

“You are mistaken, my dear. I did not say I had a good nature.” His mouth twisted in a self-disparaging sneer.

“But you did promise me I would be safe. Does your promise hold only if I leave the room?” She dragged in a deep breath and let it go in a rush. “I would like to stay a little longer I think.”

Lord Winslade’s eyebrows rose.He regarded her intently. She met his gaze, refusing to look away. No matter what she had been brought up to believe, her old life was over. If she had to live in a new world, in a new level of society, then she needed to know how it functioned.

One of the other women leapt onto the table and began to remove her clothing. A burst of laughter and loud clapping rang out from the assembled guests. Susan gestured toward them. “I believed sexual relations were unpleasant for women. Clearly my information is incorrect.”

His lips relaxed into a curve. He reached out a strong finger and placed it under her chin, tipping it up, subjecting her face to scrutiny. “Estelle Milthorpe is a self-serving fool, but she has sent me something of more value than she could have known.” He dropped his hand and leaned back in his seat. “By all means observe what happens here tonight.” His voice dropped. “You may learn more about your own nature.”

She stared into his dark eyes.Something fluttered in her chest. She wanted him to touch her again. Her breasts felt tight and hot.She wondered how they’dfeel if he put his lips on them, to have him reveal the mysteries making these people behave so outrageously.

In the few moments her attention had been held by Lord Winslade the gathering had lost any pretension of decorum. A couple openly fornicated on the table. The woman lay on her back amid the debris of the meal, the man working away above her, his bare buttocks pumping. With each downward push the crowd cheered. Suddenly, the man stiffened and pulled back on his knees.

Susan watched in dry mouthed amazement as a rope of white fluid fountained out from the rigid pole of flesh thrusting out in front of him. It pumped and spurted.A well-endowed woman ripped down her bodice to allow the liquid to splash onto her bared breasts. With a roar of approval, the crowd watched as two men grabbed her and licked her clean.

The heat in Susan’s cheeks spread, turning into strange, pulsing warmth suffusing downward through her body. She shifted restlessly on her chair. Winslade leaned in closer. His warm, masculine scent raised the temperature another degree or two. “You’re enjoying this,” he said. She shivered as his breath teased her ear.

“I shouldn’t,” she replied. “I know it’s wrong, sinful…”

“Only if someone is being forced against her will,” he said. “Here there is only willing participation in pleasure.”

“But society says…”

He spoke with cool assertiveness. “I am not concerned with the strictures of petty-minded prudes.”

Never On A Sundae by Seanna Smythe

Aidan pushed away from the doorframe as his body responded to the memories. If she wasn’t so absorbed in tasting her creation, he would’ve thought she taunted him. The banana slipped between her lips with a smooth rhythm as chocolate syrup gathered at the corners of her tempting mouth.

“Better than sex!” she declared, licking at the chocolate.

“Then you’re doing it wrong,” Aidan said, deciding she should know he was there.

Thick dark lashes flew open to reveal big, baby blue eyes as she slowly withdrew the banana from her lips. “Aidan!” Shock registered in her voice at the sight of him. “How long have you been standing there?”

“Long enough.” A lazy smile trickled across his lips as he watched her reaction.

“I didn’t hear you come in.” She pushed away from the counter and turned around, her hands searching for something to put the banana onto.

“Apparently not.” The lazy smiled widened into a wicked grin. A leggy blonde, sucking on a banana and thinking about sex? Now there was a combination no red-blooded, heterosexual male could fail to enjoy.

She looked at her chocolate stained fingers as her hand hovered over a damp cloth near the blender. With a shrug she licked the chocolate from her fingers. One by one, she treated each finger to the flick of a smooth pink tongue.

“What brings you back to town?” Seemingly satisfied she couldn’t possibly get any more chocolate off her fingers, she leaned over the sink to turn on the tap.

“Danny’s bachelor party.” Aidan stuffed his fists into his pockets to ease the rub of his jeans. The view of that sweet ass as the skirt caressed firm cheeks almost finished what the banana had started.

Ahh, Danny.” Evie shook the excess water from her hands and patted them dry on her apron. She turned back to give Aidan a once over of her own. “He swore it would be a cold day in hell before he got marriedlooks like your little brother has had a change of heart.”

Aidan watched the movements of her long-fingered hands as she removed her apron, folding it neatly. Those neatly manicured nails had once caressed the contours of his back, teased his nipples and stroked the very part of him that now ached for release. Evie had not lost her touch. Just one look and he was panting for more. He shifted from one booted foot to the other as Evie stepped toward him.

“Looks like you have a small problem,” she said, stopping within two feet of him, her eyes boldly raking the strained denim.

Still the same Evie, the girl who didn’t hesitate to say what was on her mind. He smiled and leaned forward enough to whisper into the space between them. “We both know it was never a small problem. We could always put the left over chocolate sauce to better use.”

Evie stepped closer, her head angled toward his until their lips were inches apart.

The Banquet by Kate Belle

Sheba tentatively picked out a chocolate and pressed it to her outstretched tongue. James felt the familiar tug in his groin. Every one of Sheba’s movements elicited raw lust in him. How did she do it, he wondered, wishing he could adjust the bulge in his jeans without her noticing.

When Sheba opened her eyes they were aflame. She licked her glistening lips.

“How do you make these? I must know.”

James smiled apologetically. “It’s a secret. I’m afraid if I told you, I’d have to kill you.”

Sheba frowned, pouting prettily. He could see she was used to having her own way. She picked another chocolate from the box, thrusting it between her lips and sucking enthusiastically. James watched her cheeks hollow as her tongue worked the delicacy against the roof of her mouth. She closed her eyes and a flush came to her cheeks. As he’d expected, the recipe stirred desire within her. He was delighted the concoction worked as well on Sheba as it did on more ordinary women.

When she opened her eyes she gazed at him from under long lashes, a sexy smile turning up the corners of her mouth.

“But you will tell me,” she crooned, reaching up to stroke a solitary finger over his adam’s apple to the hollow at the base of his throat, “since I inspired the recipe, I think I deserve to know, yes?”

A swoon threatened to swallow James whole. He rested his fingers on the edge of the table to steady himself. As he gazed into Sheba’s round eyes a wondrous realization dawned upon him. He held all the cards here. He had something she badly wanted and could probably ask whatever price he wanted for it. He watched, captivated, as she took another chocolate, placed it seductively on her pink tongue, and made little moaning noises as she chewed on it. All he wanted right then was to bury himself in Sheba’s generous mouth.

“Perhaps you could persuade me in some way. . .”

James held his breath, feeling his heart pound in his chest, wondering if he’d been too bold. Sheba surveyed him, tapping her index finger against a plump bottom lip as she considered his proposition. A slow, sensual smile spread across her face.

“I can be terribly persuasive.” Sheba stuck two fingers over the waistband of his jeans and pulled his pelvis toward her. “Perhaps you’d like to come back to my hotel room and I’ll try to prise the secret out of you.”

Sudden heat rushed to James’ cheeks. This was more than he dared wish for. He blessed the power of his secret Mexican chili as he nodded his assent. He’d share the recipe with her, but not the species of chili he used. He’d searched long and hard to find it, the chili was rare, and he wasn’t about to give the knowledge away for a quick fuck in a hotel, not even with the woman of his dreams. The chili was the only thing that gave him power over women, including Sheba.

“I’d love to be persuaded. Just don’t torture me.”

She cupped his face in both her hands, leaning in closer so he could smell her minty breath.

“Darling, pleasure is far more persuasive than pain.”

Prince Aryan has searched his world for the one woman that is his destined mate but has just about given up when he is lead to the human world. Even though it is forbidden to fall in love with one, he finds Skye Andrews completely delectable and wonders if she is his chosen love.

Skye Andrews has just about had it with men. After another disastrous date, she turns to her Aunt who gives her a love potion to try. With a magic spell and a mysterious face haunting her waking days; will Skye be able to find the love she is looking for? Can these two make it work or will their differences tear them apart?

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains explicit sex scenes and/or situations and adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

Excerpt:

Magically appearing in the foyer, he moved quietly and unhampered. If anyone looked right at him, all they would see was nothing but their furniture and belongings. Aryan listened intently to find the cause of the call that had carried him here. He spied a woman walking down the stairs. She was tall and voluptuous, with red hair dancing around her head like a halo of flames. Her lips were so full and inviting, a pure lightning bolt of lust raced through his body. Her violet eyes were framed by lashes so thick, it was as if butterfly wings kissed her cheeks each time she closed her eyes.

Mentally groaning with desire, Aryan wondered what—besides her physical appearance—had drawn him to her. With a rising passion he could barely keep in check, his gaze took in every aspect of her curvy compact body. Aryan watched Skye stand on the bottom step and nibble her lower lip, showing perfect white teeth. He almost came from the erotic images it invoked of her using those lips on his hardened cock and caressing him to a fever pitch. When he saw the sadness in her eyes, Aryan wondered what could have caused it. Suddenly this breathtaking woman looked straight at him and, before he could react, looked as if she’d seen a ghost.

She looked puzzled. It was as if she could sense he was in her house, which was impossible. According to Fairy lore, no human could sense a Fae unless they were true mates. Aryan stayed motionless until he heard her whisper, “Who is here?” Stunned that she could sense him, Aryan didn’t know what to do. It was unheard of for a human to pick up his presence. He tried to leave, but the damn call was an enticing lure, making it painful to leave this mesmerizing woman alone. Realizing she was still looking around, he needed to get out of there fast despite being drawn to this stunning woman who stirred his blood in a way he hadn’t felt before.

Finally, after a few agonizing minutes, he saw her shake her head and mutter, “You are definitely seeing things and jumping at every damn shadow. Get a grip, Skye. The egg has you seeing ghosts in every corner now.”

After a few tense seconds, Aryan watched her turn and walk back upstairs, giving him a clear view of her rounded ass and, thankfully, she didn’t see the shimmer that caused him to become visible for a few seconds. Groaning, Aryan shored up his magic again even though the picture of that ass remained in his mind—rounded, full, and so damn desirable that it made him ache. His blood heated to such an intensity he almost came on the spot. He felt like an untried boy with his first woman.

Review:

From the Disney Fairy tales to reality, this story has it all. Skye Andrews is a young woman who is once again hopeful to find true love with the help of her grandmother’s love potion. After her last failed date on the Valentine’s Day, she is quite despondent as to finding her true soul mate. Unbeknown, he is on his way to find her himself. As soon as she drinks the potions, an incredibly beautiful man with green eyes is conjured up in front of her but she shakes him off with a flick of her head.

Aryan is a Prince of the Fae Kingdom. He has searched far and wide for his true soul mate but he hasn’t been lucky enough to find one. Given an ultimatum by his mother to find the love of his life or endure marriage, he sets out to find his soul mate and arrives in Dayton, Skye’s town. As they both are attracted towards each other through magic, it is a tale worth reading. From the magical love potions to wild, uninhibited sex, Ms Delight has beautifully described the tale to satisfy the reader’s curiosity. Although, a more detail oriented novel with much longer scenes and love connection would have done the trick.

The story is quite engaging as it is and the writer she is quite talented. She has a beautifully woven tale of two worlds closer although some details were missing. I would recommend her to elaborate the book into a beautiful novel worth reading.

Good Luck, Ms Delight.
